Candle care
Simple steps to make your 55° candles last longer and burn better.
The first burn
Always burn your candle until the wax melts fully to the edges of the can — this usually takes 2 to 3 hours. Skipping this step can cause tunnelling, where wax builds up around the wick and reduces your candle's life.
Wick care
Trim the wick to 5mm before every burn. A long wick creates a larger, sootier flame. A quick trim keeps the burn clean and even.
Burn time
Keep burns to 3 hours maximum. After 3 hours the can gets hot enough to affect the wax quality. Give your candle a rest — it'll reward you with a longer life.
Storage
Keep the lid on when not burning. Store away from direct sunlight and in a cool room. Wax can soften in heat, which may shift the wax fruit decoration.
