Trim the wick
Take it down to about 5 mm before every burn — it keeps the flame steady and soot-free.
The first burn
Let it burn until the wax pool reaches the edge of the tin. It saves the candle from tunnelling for good.
Four hours at most
Longer than that overheats the tin and burns through the fragrance faster.
Away from draughts
And out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
